How long have you been at Carrot?
I joined the team in April 2023.
Why did you join Carrot?
I joined Carrot because I wanted to work for a company with a mission I truly cared about. In a moment of serendipity, I think I was recruited just a week after I froze my eggs, which felt like a sign to me that Carrot was the right place. At the time, my previous employer didn’t offer any fertility benefits, so the entire procedure was out of pocket. I also knew I would be beginning my own family-building journey soon and wanted to be at a company that not only offered support but truly understood the challenges. Carrot’s mission aligned with my values and life goals at the time, and that helped make my decision.

As a Salesforce Business Analyst, my team and I are responsible for owning, administering, and optimizing Salesforce and all commercial sales tools. We collaborate closely with key stakeholders across sales, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment with business goals. My role involves gathering and analyzing requirements from various departments to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement enhancements in Salesforce. This includes working on Salesforce customization and configuration to better support business workflows, improving reporting capabilities, and streamlining day-to-day operations. Additionally, I help drive the adoption of new features and tools, providing training and ongoing support to ensure users maximize the platform’s potential. I also play a key role in data management, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the information used to drive strategic decisions. By working closely with business leaders, I help bridge the gap between technology and business needs, ensuring that Salesforce continues to evolve in line with the company’s changing priorities.
What is the best thing about your job?
The best part of my job is the opportunity to problem-solve and leverage technology to create innovative solutions. I’ve always been someone who looks for smarter, more efficient ways to work, so helping my teams achieve their goals by using technology in creative ways is what I truly enjoy. The challenge of finding and implementing these solutions excites me and keeps me motivated.
What do you appreciate the most about working at Carrot?
Everyone is incredibly passionate about Carrot's mission, and it's inspiring to be part of a team so focused on making an impact. It feels great to be able to fully engage with and contribute to that vision.
I appreciate the people I work with and the support I've received, especially after returning from maternity leave. It was truly amazing to have that time off, knowing I was supported by the entire team.
Additionally, I can't say enough about our benefits. The Carrot benefit and the return-to-work program have been a blessing—programs I didn’t fully realize I needed until I experienced them. They've made all the difference in my transition back to work.
You shared that you’ve used the Carrot benefit yourself. How has it been beneficial to you?
Two words: Overnight Doulas!
I had heard of doulas before getting pregnant, but I never really looked into them until I learned more about the Carrot benefit and how it could support us through the pregnancy and postpartum journey. Doulas were one of the services we could use our stipend for, to help support us after the baby arrived.
Getting 8 hours of sleep a couple of nights a week while adjusting to life with a newborn was an absolute game changer. Knowing the baby was in good hands, especially when we needed rest, made a world of difference. Neither of us have family nearby, so it was such a relief to be able to use the Carrot benefit to cover some of the cost of their services.
Without the Carrot benefit, we likely wouldn’t have even considered hiring a doula, but I’m so grateful we did. I highly recommend this option to any new parents, if it's available to you. It truly made a huge impact on our well-being during that time.
