Employee spotlight: Madonna McCree

We recently caught up with Madonna McCree, Global Payments Operations Specialist, to learn more about her Carrot experience. 

When did you join Carrot?

I joined the team in 2022. I recently celebrated my two-year anniversary at Carrot!

Why did you join Carrot? 

I joined Carrot because the mission truly spoke to me. As a woman of color, I’m acutely aware of the racial disparities in the family-building space. I wanted to be part of a company that promotes inclusivity and supports diverse communities, including my own. Carrot's commitment to providing accessible and comprehensive fertility care aligns with my values, and I am passionate about contributing to a mission that helps bridge these gaps and make a positive impact on people's lives.

What do you focus on in your role?

I started my journey at Carrot as a Claims Processor on our Member Success team. I'm excited to share that I recently transitioned into a new role as a Global Payments Operations Specialist. In this role, I manage the movement of client funds and ensure accurate and timely financial transfers to our members. My responsibilities include supporting members and assisting with out-of-pocket reimbursements. I also work closely with our Customer Success and Member Success teams and have the opportunity to contribute to internal and member-facing product enhancements.

What is the best thing about your job?

The best thing about my job is the opportunity to make a real impact on our members' lives by ensuring their financial transactions are smooth and efficient. I love collaborating with different teams, solving complex problems, and continuously improving our processes. It's incredibly rewarding to contribute to a company that supports such a meaningful mission and to see the direct positive outcomes of our work.

What is your favorite perk about working at Carrot? 

My favorite perk is definitely the flexibility of working from home. It provides me with the ability to balance my professional responsibilities while being there for my young children. The flexibility to manage my schedule around my family's needs is invaluable.

How would you describe Carrot’s culture?
